Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union is open to serve you and we currently have great rates on our car loans and mortgages.

The health and well-being of our members, employees and the communities we serve all continue to be our top priority. To do our part to help minimize the spread of the coronavirus, we’ve taken steps that still allow you to conduct your regular financial business with us, while at the same time, ensure the health and safety of you as well as our staff.

  • Before calling our Call Center to ask about your stimulus check payment, please be sure to review the information provided by the IRS to determine your payment eligibility, status and distribution method.

    To help you understand how you can get your payment quickly and safely, we wanted to share with you the following information. First, the IRS has created the Coronavirus Economic Impact Payments site. This site provides information that includes eligibility, payment amount, tools for non-filers and payment methods and status.

    Keep in mind that neither Meridian Trust nor the IRS will contact you directly - via call, text, email or social media - to ask for personal or account information, even related to your economic impact payment. The IRS will also not require you to provide personal information in order to cash the check. Additional fraud prevention tips and information related to Economic Impact Payments can be found in the section below titled Financial Education and Avoiding Scams.

  • Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union stands ready to provide our members and communities with all of the available help and support that we can in these challenging times. That's why we're excited to be a participating lender in the Paycheck Protection Program. This program is intended to help small businesses retain their employees during this time. Your business may be eligible for a loan; however, funds are limited and subject to availability by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Meridian Trust is currently accepting loan applications from our existing members.

    Meridian Trust is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting issues. Our management team is working to ensure we stand ready to meet the needs of borrowers, including loan forbearances due to inability to pay during this time.

    There is still a lot of uncertainty remaining including how long the crisis will last. We stand ready to discuss your situation and help in ways that make sense. 

    Mortgage relief depends on the type of loan you have.  Fannie Mae, FHLB, VA, FHA or a portfolio loan have different requirements for forbearance or payment deferral.  This distinction can lead to confusion.
